I really like Koreselect as a brand and have gotten supplements from them time after time. I like these little ginseng boost packets because they are easy to bring along and take if you feel like you could use an extra energy boost. They 100% taste like a shot of soy sauce, but regardless, Koreselect provides a true and pure ginseng product.

I’ve been dragging around 4pm everyday and tried many different things to wake myself up. Some beverages work (mostly caffeine based drinks), and some don’t, but I am glad I found this product because it just works. The extract woke me up and gave me energy very quickly. I knew about this company which is well known for its long history of making authentic Korean ginseng products (particularly six year old red ginseng) and its quality, so I had no doubt these packets were fake/watered-down like some other knockoffs.So how’s the taste? Well, it’s not pleasant. I taste real ginseng extracts with a slight hint of sweetness from honey. The extract is not thick, and it is easy to drink, and the amount is is only 10ml, which is about same amount of a children’s liquid cough medicine dose. Good stuff always taste bitter, and I certainly don’t expect this kind of extract to be delicious or sweet. However, this extract works for me not because of the bitter taste but because of the benefit and effectiveness. I’m not a scientist, but I do know that to see the real effect of any dietary supplement, one might have to take it for long period of time, and red ginseng might not be an exception. However, I did feel my energy boost in the late afternoon, after lunch or after workout, when I was dragging, and my eye lids were shutting by themselves.Overall, this is authentic and trustworthy ginseng works without having to resort to taking caffeine. For around $2 per stick (10ml), it is not a bad price at all, and it is a far better choice than any of those junky energy drinks from a gas station or other caffeine-filled artificial ones.
